Adhering to Zhejiang University’s century‑old motto of “Seeking Truth and Pursuing Innovation”, as well as its spirit of “Embracing Rivers and Seas, Enlightening Truth and Cultivating Virtue, Advancing Public Welfare through Innovation, and Building Our Nation”, the Academic Journals of Zhejiang University have long relied on the University to run academic journals with dedication and uphold academic integrity.

At present, Zhejiang University and its affiliated institutions supervise, sponsor and publish a total of 65 journals (including developing and pilot journals). Among them, 11 are indexed in SCI/SSCI, 16 in ESCI, 38 in Scopus and 13 in EI, with multiple journals included in the three major Chinese core journal databases. Ten journals have been selected into the Program for Enhancing the International Influence of Chinese Scientific Journals, 22 into the Excellence Action Plan for Chinese Scientific Journals, 2 as one of the first pilot overseas‑returned journals, and the team has been selected four times for the Talent Cultivation Project for High‑Level Journal Operation under the Excellence Action Plan for Chinese Scientific Journals.

These journals have won dozens of honors successively, including the Chinese Government Award for Publishing (Journal Award, including formal awards and nominations), Outstanding Editor Award and Publishing Figure Award of the Chinese Government Award for Publishing, Chinese Top‑Quality Scientific Journal Award, Excellent Journal Award of East China, and Zhejiang Shuren Publishing Award (Journal Category).
